L3Harris Strategic Buyer, Direct Material & Services in Mirabel, Canada

L3 Technologies MAS, located in Mirabel (QC), is a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies, Inc. As Strategic Buyer, Direct Material & Services you will: Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Management, you are part of the Procurement team, which is responsible for plans and implements activities related to the procurement of goods and services:

  • Identify new sources of supply for goods and services for a range of commodities and aircraft platforms;

  • Negotiate with suppliers and analyze suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules;

  • Review proposals, negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers, analyze trends, and maintain necessary records;

  • Prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages;

  • Negotiate and settle with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes;

  • Follow up on all awards through completion of order;

  • Follow applicable anti-corruption ethics, laws, and regulations.

    The Strategic Buyer, Direct Material & Services is an experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management. May manage projects or processes with general supervision:

  • Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.

  • Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.

  • Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
