About the Mercury Support Team (MST) and Technical Delivery

As an organization jointly owned by the business and Technology, the MST is a centralized and global organization which provides operational support for the delivered Mercury solution and support the Mercury user community. The MST plays an integral role in governance of the Mercury solution and the global template from both a business and technology perspective and will evolve to work closely with the business in enabling the benefit and value to be realized from the investment in Program Mercury and to set the future direction and technology road map to support Vision 2020+.

The “Technology” is one of the six core functions of the MST. Within the technology stream the technical delivery management function manages all technical projects required for operate, run and grow objectives of mercury as a system. Technical delivery coordinator will:

  • Support programs and & projects to provide integrated, seamless functional and technical support

  • Manage and support variety of projects like desktop deployments, system refresh, upgrades, application integrations, environment built etc.

The opportunity

  • The project delivery coordinator works with various functional and technical teams located globally. Projects would require learning about Mercury infrastructure, production & lower environments hosted in both EY, vendor facilities, EY Azure etc. The roles helps supporting and coordinating projects to confirm activities are being completed on time and current systems are up to date with technology and leading new system initiatives, all while adhering to ITIL standards.

  • The opportunity provides a long-term career platform to groom and grow the person from a project coordinator to a Project Manager role.

Your key responsibilities

Some of the key Responsibilities include the following:

  • Support Project Manager to build and manage project plan

  • Coordinate project delivery by managing communications, meetings, and resources as necessary

  • Become familiar with Mercury systems, applications, infrastructure hosted at vendor, EY and EY Azure sites

  • Build and maintain relationships with “hands on” technical resources for both vendor and EY

  • Be able to communicate with leadership when escalations are needed

  • Work with vendor and EY resources to coordinate execution of project tasks and activities, this included creation of Service Requests, Change Requests as necessary

  • Host and lead calls, take meeting notes and distribute as needed

  • Build weekly and monthly project reports, including management escalation as needed

  • Help with creating and managing process, project documentation as necessary

  • Work with global teams, there is no travel involved

Skills and attributes for success

  • Basic understanding of Information Technology systems, applications, infrastructure environments. Understand basics of Project Management process and principals. Excellent English language skills (verbal and written), excellent people skills, good attitude with a willingness to learn

To qualify for the role you must have

  • 3-4-year college degree in related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc..) or comparable job experience

  • 0-2 years experience (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)

  • Understanding of general infrastructure technologies such as servers, networks, and software

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project (or any other Project Management tool)

  • MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Basic awareness of different cultures and working practices across the regions

  • SharePoint (Administration, lists, etc.)

  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas and vision through meetings and documentation

  • Project Management & ITIL concepts
