ROLE: PR & Communications Specialist

GENERAL SCOPE:

The PR & Communications Specialist is responsible for working within the Marketing team to manage start-to-end marketing communication strategies in the media and digital space to position Colliers as a leader in the commercial real estate industry.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

› Delivering on brand PR & Communications strategy to elevate brand awareness for Colliers brokerage services to USA audiences.

› Delivering traditional and digital branded campaigns working alongside corporate marketing teams.

› Assist in the development of communications plans for corporate/national and trade initiatives, drafting communications messaging and presentation materials, creating thought leadership positioning, and creating a standardized process for Colliers participation in public-facing events.

› Create communications assets, such as magazine articles, marketing materials, promotions, award nominations, web materials, and social media posts etc.

› Draft content (e.g. press releases) for media and websites.

› Works with other departments to implement strategic communications initiatives, including marketing efforts and development/execution of communications/marketing plans.

› Assists with media relations, from the development of proactive client campaigns to the efficient reactive management of direct inquiries.

› Aligning internal and external communications initiatives to positively promote brand, client and employee messages to all core audiences internally and externally.

› Develops proposal content, presentation content, and Request for Proposal responses, presentations, and other interactive marketing and pitch materials and programs for new business development pursuits.

› Plans, writes and edits content; ensures it is clear, compelling and properly distributed across web, mobile and social platforms; and adheres to a consistent brand philosophy.

› Assists with maintaining marketing database/library, including standard marketing collateral and case studies as well as the editorial/event calendars.

› Organizes and manages the archive of new business content to enable easy identification of relevant information.

› Work with sales teams to create and maintain business development marketing campaigns (touch points); ensure messaging and scheduling consistency; track success.

› Foster relationships with advocates and key persons.
