GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the compassionate, safe and efficient movement of wheelchair and other clients.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to the Illinois Patient Transport/MedValet Project Manager.

Provide professional, courteous, and safe transportation for clients.
Assure the accuracy and completeness of all company and client contact paperwork.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all records.
Be responsible for all equipment and supplies.
Maintains current State of Illinois driver’s license according to the provisions set forth by the Illinois Secretary of State and Department of Motor Vehicles.
Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times.
Help promote a positive company image.
Accepts other duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures required to provide client supervision and transportation. Mathematics knowledge necessary to perform calculations as required. Ability to read and follow maps, directions, and or GPS devices. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, medical staff, and the public, including communicative skills. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly, orally and written. Ability to report for duty when emergency staffing conditions occur. Exhibit value of human dignity, personal worth and quality of life of clients of all ages.
ALTERNATIVE TO MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: None
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting client’s belongings, manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Requires sitting, standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Ability to push a wheelchair with up to 350 .lbs. Frequently requires movement of objects of all different weight categories. Requires corrective vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. Requires working with equipment requiring voice, sight, and auditory capabilities (corrected) within normal range.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent driving in inclement weather, road construction and other conditions common, often while transporting.
