TEKsystems Help Desk Technician in MIDDLETON, Wisconsin

Come join an amazing organization! A well-respected client of TEKsystems is seeking two additional help desk technicians in Middleton, Wisconsin after recently promoting multiple team members.

Description:

The IT Support Technician serves as the initial point of contact for issues and requests related to IT systems and services across the enterprise. This role works in a support center environment and partners with customers to resolve reported issues, suggest workarounds when appropriate, and escalate issues to other support teams as necessary.

This position is full-time, working remotely for the time being. The available shifts are either Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, or 9am to 6pm. This is a contract position with strong likelihood of going long term.

Qualifications:

  • Experience or education in Information Technology, either an Associate degree (or higher) or 2+ years of professional work experience

  • The desire to provide strong customer service

  • Basic Knowledge of any of the following:

  • End user computer hardware: Desktops, Laptops, Tablets, Thin Clients, Monitors, Printers, etc.

  • Common 'off the shelf' software: Windows OS, Outlook, Office, Instant Messaging, Browsers.

  • End-point security technologies: Anti-virus, firewalls, drive encryption, etc. o Networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi), Active Directory and Group Policy.

  • Mobility and remote access technologies: MDM, VPN, Remote Desktop.

  • Virtual desktops and related technologies.

  • Prior over the phone support experience is a plus but not required.

These roles have anticipated start dates either in the beginning or middle of May. Recent or upcoming graduates with the desire to grow within a large organization in Madison are encouraged to apply, along with any other candidate interested in this opportunity.
