Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RI&S) is currently seeing a mid-level Visualization System Technologist to join our team. The System Administrator must have a deep and broad knowledge of computer software, hardware and networks. This position will focus on the deployment and sustainment of an Advanced Visualization (AV) environment within the SAS Immersive Design Center (IDC). The IDC focuses on advanced 3D
Stereo visualization and other supporting immersive technologies to drive 3D conceptual design
Work, structural layouts, manufacturing support, and immersive training. The IDC also supports remote collaboration capabilities across Raytheon as well as with suppliers and customers.
There will be a strong focus on Advanced Visualization tools supporting internal and external Customer engagements at the IDC. The candidate will also be responsible for the design and management of IT compute, network and storage infrastructure supporting the SAS IDC, and its connection to other IDCs at Raytheon.
VR/AR and audio/visual systems integration/development
Experience gathering requirements, design, and implement appropriate solutions in an integrated
Windows and UNIX/Linux environment
Human-Machine interface development
Able and excited to learn and work with cutting edge software and technology
Experience providing technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
Strong communication skills and customer interaction skills with users of all levels
Demonstrated proficiency in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting core Windows Server systems and capabilities, including Active Directory management
Strong knowledge of AD, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, CIFS, and Windows system security
General understanding of network services
Demonstrated proficiency in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting core Linux capabilities including Active Directory authentication, permission management, DNS, Samba, package management, and NFS.
Demonstrated proficiency in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting most aspects of ESXi and vCenter.
Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good customer interaction skills with users of all levels.
Expertise with emerging 3D technologies, i.e., hardware, software, firmware
Graphics software (OpenGL, DirectX)
Real-time/Gaming development (Unity, Unreal, etc.)
Experience with advanced 3D user interfaces and immersive virtual environments
Configuration control/DevOps experience (Chef, Puppet, CFEngine, etc)
Automation of tasks via script – Shell, Python, Perl, etc
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Technology, Engineering or Math and 6 years experience
One of the following: Security+, CISSP, CNA, MCP and/or MCSA, or similar
