JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for the monitoring/metrics, development, review, and auditing of Incoming Materials and assisting in subcontractor compliance by ensuring that all subcontractors meet contractual requirements. Assess the compliance of incoming materials to the documentation to ensure contractual requirements are being met. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Oversees process of and ensures that correct receipt inspection is performed for each type of material received at the plant. Assesses engineering requirements, tests and analyzes materials received for use to determine whether they are of acceptable quality for intended use. Properly documents findings in written analytical report and maintains records. Performs receipt inspection in compliance with site processes and procedures; reject materials or parts if determined to be substandard or otherwise non-compliant with applicable regulations. Ensure incoming materials meet the specifications of quality standards invoked in the contract. Assist in the clarification of requirements or process improvement initiatives when requested by management. Responsible to analyze supplier quality and determine if work is non-conforming to requirements. Provide proper communication to all parties in the event of a supplier quality issue. Conduct internal audits of supplier/subcontractors Maintains a commitment to the company vision and the "spirit" of the organization. Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Position does not directly supervise employees but may be responsible to coordinate additional inspection personnel to ensure that receipt inspection does not cause a delay in production activities or schedule. SKILLS: The ability to read mechanical drawings Experience reviewing others design drawings and specification sheets. Ability to interpret suppliers' shipping documents. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work flow. A high level of attention to details is required.
