Part Time Desktop Support
Our client has a part time, flexible hours, day shift for an Level 1-2 Desktop Support Professional to provide desktop support to corporate users. Experience with pc set up and deployment.
Candidates should have solid support experience with Office 365, Windows Professional 7 and Office 2010; Windows 10 and Office 2016 or 365 a plus.

Predominately Microsoft environment. Additional tools used for support and remote deployments include, Dell Case and Remote Assistance. Standard tower/laptop images include Office Professional Plus 2016, Adobe Reader, and Symantec Anti-Virus (SEP) on a Office 365 Enterprise platform.
Software support includes third-party applications along with internally created applications.
PART TIME HOURS, FLEXIBLE ON DAYS AND TIME BUT AVERAGE 24 HOURS A WEEK, 3 FULL DAYS OR 5 HALF DAYS.
Associates Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent. Certification in A+ preferred not required.
1 to 3 years experience in a technical support role, providing desktop and software support. Knowledge of PC/laptop hardware, Windows OS and Office 365 (Windows 7; Windows 10); MS Office products, up to and including Office 2016/365. Knowledge of networking principles, practice and technologies (TCP/IP protocol suite). Clear theoretical understanding of networks, including LAN/WAN/VPN. Working knowledge of Active Directory and AD policies preferred.
Backup tapes, remote access, LAN administration, basic security administration,
Windows Server, Office, File and Print Servers. Level 1 support and interact with server team from corporate HQ.
Will receive direction from corporate office and any familiarity with Cisco is a plus.
Familiarity with VMware products
Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and develop resolutions to complex problems. Self-motivated with the ability to follow directions, complete time-sensitive tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced call center environment. Planning and organizational skills, with the ability to document processes and procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to use discretion in handling confidential information.
Investigate and resolve workstation problems regarding PC client OS, applications, and/or hardware. Resolve workstation problems with respect to their interaction locally and their participation on the network.
