UK Market Access, Asset Lead – Immunology

  • Based in the AbbVie offices in Maidenhead with flexible working.

The Access Lead, UK Market Access is responsible for the development and execution of the early commercialization plans and the market access strategies across assigned assets amongst AbbVie’s portfolio of pharmaceutical products to ensure national and local access across the UK for patients. Drive the asset market access marketing strategy as a core member of the brand team. Effectively orchestrates communication and alignment across Market Access matrix team and serve as the UK Market Access subject matter expert for assigned assets. Leverage data, analytics and strategic mind-set in all aspects of running the marketing component of the business. Provides positive leadership and influences cultural alignment with Market Access ambitious Cultural Vision.

Highlighted responsibilities:

  • Provide Asset and Brand team leadership and direction as the Access Lead including driving the vision, strategies, plans and resource investment.

  • Responsible for developing and executing the market access strategies across assigned products in the AbbVie portfolio.

  • Generate robust asset commercialization plans and market access launch readiness plans in preparation for launching multiple new assets into the market, and over the course of the product lifecycle.

  • Lead the wider market access matrix in planning and executing access strategies for pre- launch and in-market products.

  • Define and deliver liver key market access initiatives and KPIs

  • Engage cross-functionally to ensure that there is clarity around the strategy and specific needs from the brand team

  • Understand the evolving nature of our key external customers and communicate insights to the wider business


Knowledge and Experience:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Public Health, or other relevant area

  • Prefer advanced degree in Business, Public Health, Life Sciences, or other relevant area preferred

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or related field preferred with experience in market access

  • Launching new pharmaceutical products into an HTA or single-payer market

  • Proven marketing experience required.

  • Cross-functional experiences including field sales, finance, market analytics valued.

  • Skilled in developing innovative solutions to secure patient access to medicines within a large national health system

  • Experience and strong ability in working collaboratively across matrix functions
