CERTI-DRY Contents & Cleaning Lead in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of helpers, laborers, or material movers. Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Keep records and compile stock reports. As a Contents Restoration Technician assists in the packing, moving, and cleaning of personal and business property damaged by fire, smoke, water, sewage, mold, and other contaminants. They use acquired knowledge regarding the properties of textiles, wood, paper, leather, metal, glass, ceramics, stone, and plastics to return common, valuable, and sentimental items to their pre-loss condition. A Contents Restoration Technician respects the value of these items and exercises great care in their handling. Responsibilities: * Document pre-existing location and condition of personal property * Perform emergency cleaning as necessary * Carefully pack and label contents * Safely load and move contents * Properly clean contents using a variety of technology and chemistry * Perform on-site cleaning of contents and structure as required * Dispose of total loss items * Use and maintain specialized Contents tools, supplies and equipment * Document daily work activities * Perform duties and tasks of Restoration Technician as required Requirements * Work efficiently, carefully and safely * Ability to carry 50 pounds, wear a respirator, work with chemicals * Attention to detail * High school diploma or equivalent * Insurable driver\'s license * Rotating on-call availability for emergency work out-of-hours Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring safety procedures and equipment. Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly. Inform designated employees or departments of items loaded or problems encountered. Check specifications of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders. Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads. Transmit and explain work orders to laborers. Prepare and maintain work records and reports of information such as employee time and wages, daily receipts, or inspection results. Inspect equipment for wear and for conformance to specifications. Estimate material, time, and staffing requirements for a given project, based on work orders, job specifications, and experience. Conduct staff meetings to relay general information or to address specific topics, such as safety. Inspect job sites to determine the extent of maintenance or repairs needed. Inventory supplies and requisition or purchase additional items, as necessary. Schedule times of shipment and modes of transportation for materials.
