Maddox Irrigation Irrigation Service Technician in Macomb, Michigan

Irrigation Service Technician. 6 temporary, full-time positions.10/01/24 -- 11/30/2024. Maddox Irrigation, Inc.  located at 46800 Erb Dr., Macomb, MI 48042. . Employees will be responsible for operating company vehicles to and from pre-existing commercial and residential customers. They will be responsible for repairs and/or adjustments to pre-existing irrigation systems. These repairs will include but are not limited to timer adjustments, sprinkler head replacement/upgrades and valve repair. They will also be responsible for educating customers on how to operate their WIFI timers and collecting customer payments at the end of service. The employee will be responsible for servicing and installing landscape lighting as well, including the replacement of light bulbs and cleaning lamps for our maintenance contract customers.RFI Response:Employees will operate vehicles approximately 9,000 lbs Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Chauffeur's license required. 35 hours per week. 7-hour workday. 8:00am­ - 5:00pm, M-F. Some Saturdays. OT hours possible. 5-20 hours of OT possible.No minimum education required.3 months Experience is required.Driver's license is required. The company will provide help for the workers to obtain the driving license.Travel will be required. Daily transportation provided by the employer to and from worksites in the following counties: Macomb and Oakland.Wage: $17.55/hr. OT Wage: $26.33/hr. Workers paid weekly. Optional board/lodging available at a cost to be deducted from pay if elected. Cost of housing: $100.00/week On the job training provided. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered to any worker in the specified occupation, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors including work performance, skill and tenure. Single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers' reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence provided at a rate of at least $15.88/day during travel to a maximum of $59/day with receipts. H2B Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).
