Position Description:
Manages a unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represents the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.

Major/Essential Functions:
Coordinates the inventory for the University Facilities, including SWC/SCL, Architecture Library, and off-site locations.
Manages a departmental budget.
Building Emergency Manager - Serves as the Libraries Safety and Building Services Coordinator. Responsible for the Emergency Action Plan and Business Continuity Plan in coordination with Business Operations personnel. Coordinates annual training.
Coordinator for Library Building Services and Inventory, including SWC/SCL, Architecture Library, and off-site locations. Ensures the smooth daily running of the facilities to meet the standards of the Library and the University. Includes monitoring areas for needs and changes.
Coordinates special projects. This includes working with outside vendors, costing out ideas, and projects to other university departments. Ensures that projects meet the requirements of TTU and the Library and budgetary constraints.
Works within the Libraries to coordinate department/unit renovations, relocations, expansions, and/or reconfigurations. Responsible for purchasing Library furniture. Ensures changes stay within budget restrictions.
Coordinates collaboration for Library Building Services and Inventory with other colleges, new projects, and Dean’s goals.
Coordinates space usage from both inside the organization and outside the organization. Responsible for Operations Division Facilities Inventory Space Use Analysis (SUA) information and reporting.
Coordinates setup with Communications and Marketing department and Library Event Coordinator. Ensures Library functions are running smoothly and according to OP's.
Coordinates purchase, maintenance, and upkeep of Library and SWC vehicles, and maintains related records.
