Tax Manager/Senior Manager - Renewable Energy

Center of Excellence

KPMG has grown a Center of Excellence focused on

the Renewable Energy Sector. This sector

is the fastest growing component of our Power & Utility practice, a

priority area for our firm, and the Center of Excellence team works in close

conjunction with our industry and geographic leadership teams. Our team is focused on providing exceptional

client service to clients in this industry segment. We do that by integrating all tax services on

each client engagement team. That means

you will be an integral part of a diverse and collaborative team.

KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Manager / Senior

Manager to join our Business Tax Services (https://tax.kpmg.us/content/tax/en/index.html) or SALT practice. Geography is flexible as our team is a Center

of Excellence spread throughout the country.

Responsibilities:

*

Lead compliance and

consulting engagements for complex tax equity structures, including partnership

issues, capital account maintenance, allocations and transactions for those

structures.

*

Work on structuring some

of today's most innovative partnership transactions and calculate complex

partnership allocations

*

Assist in the

preparation, review, and audit support for Hypothetical Liquidation at Book

Value (HLBV) models

*

Drive discussions with

clients in the renewable energy space on items affecting their business and

provide tax advice and technical support for conclusions

*

Be a part of a growing

team and industry, learning and sharing industry best practices across the

country

*

Work as part of a

dedicated team of experienced tax professional and achieve continued growth

*

Collaborate with other

tax service lines and industry leadership

*

Build, manage, direct,

and monitor multiple client engagements teams while maintaining active

communication with clients to manage expectations and help ensure client

satisfaction

*

Lead, participate in and

contribute to market and business development activities external to the firm;

including; identifying and pursuing new potential client service opportunities

by collaborating with KPMG's Audit and Advisory practices

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:

*

Play a key role in

growing KPMG's Renewable Energy Center of Excellence, both locally and on a

national level

Qualifications:

*

Minimum of five years of

focused partnership tax experience in an accounting firm, organization, and/or

law firm - prior work in the Renewable Energy Sector is a plus

*

Bachelor's degree from

an accredited college/university and licensed CPA or J.D./LL.M.

*

Experience leading

multiple engagements and client service teams as well as developing and

mentoring staff within a collaborative team environment

*

Excellent written and

verbal communication skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex

information

Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager:

*

Minimum of eight years

of flow-through entity experience, with renewable energy experience a plus

*

Demonstrated track

record of business development with the ability to develop and maintain

existing internal and external client relationships and help build new

relationships with key targets
