ASSET and LIABILITY MANAGEMENT ANALYST

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Asset/Liability analyst will provide research, analytical and compliance support for the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), Dodd-Frank Act Stress Testing (DFAST), enterprise-wide capital stress test, five-year strategic forecast, and annual budget. Responsibilities also include development and maintaining modeling assumptions and all related documentation.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Conducts research and analysis under the guidance of, and as required by, the Lead ALM Analyst and the ALM Manager

  • Provides Net Interest Income (NII) and Economic Value of Equity (EVE) projections in QRM model and other Interest Rate Risk related metrics.

  • Develops, supports, maintains, and documents modeling assumptions for ALM

  • Support monthly operational process of FTP determination

  • Develops, supports, maintains, and documents modeling assumptions for FTP

  • Support Treasury reporting related to ALCO. Become a back-up person for monthly Treasury reporting. Maintains and documents reporting procedures

  • Supports budgeting and capital stress test processes by becoming a primary back-up for these operations

  • Supports phase III of QRM implementation - transition of FTP process from IPS Sendero to QRM

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum 3 years of financial analysis experience

  • Minimum 2 years advanced Microsoft Excel experience

Skills and Knowledge

  • Understanding of Treasury operations, Interest Rate Risk management, ALM practice, and FTP is desired.

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of bank colleagues and clients.

  • Ability to organize analyzed data into simple, complete and concise presentation formats. Envision the global issue, separate symptoms from causes, research thoroughly; weigh cost/benefits and derive sound conclusions.

  • Excellent project management skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects at the same time while working under tight deadlines.

  • Ability to resolve routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels.

  • Ability to follow standards and procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.

  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).

  • Experience with financial planning and budgeting is desired.

  • Experience with CCAR and capital stress test is desired.
