Key Responsibilities – LIBOR Transition Project The candidate will have the following responsibilities, which may evolve over time in accordance with the requirements of Citi’s MSS LIBOR transition programme. Provide regular and succinct updates of LIBOR developments to the primary MSS Legal representatives. Provide support on any update/education of product/regional lawyers on Citi’s LIBOR transition program where it impacts MSS. Provide legal support to business on MSS platinum client meetings/calls when required to discuss LIBOR transition. Lead MSS’s interaction with appointed law firm to manage required legal advice/support on the project to include attending industry working groups and providing updates where necessary, and provide legal advice as necessary with respect to MSS’s responses to industry consultations and regulators Act as liaison/co-ordinator between the central project team, business management team and central ICG LIBOR Transition Legal team and other MSS product lawyers with respect to various work streams. Work with the central project team and the central LIBOR Transition legal representatives with respect to centralising and managing external legal advice to ensure minimal duplication.  Key Responsibilities – G10 Rates The candidate will ultimately be expected to cover a wide range of transactions across various desks, including: Bespoke financing structures, including Islamic financing, derivatives-based financing, financial guarantees and risk participation transactions Finance-linked hedging, including negotiating the wider transaction documents from a hedging perspective, overseeing the negotiation by the Belfast team of certain points in the derivative documentation  Advice on close-out provisions, optional and mandatory termination provisions, and cash settlement calculations Repackaging transactions across a variety of underlying product-classes General advice on disputes and queries arising from OTC transactions Qualifications: At least 8 years’ legal experience with some in-house experience preferred. A good, broad understanding of financial products and how they work and interact is important (e.g. bonds, trade financing, loans, hedging, derivatives, SFT). Experience of managing large-scale projects or transactions with multiple moving parts. Derivatives experience within any product group is essential, with experience of the 2006 ISDA Definitions preferred. Experience of structuring complex transactions is preferred. Skills/Competencies Candidate will have to have: Ability to work independently and efficiently. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent organisation skills. Good diplomatic skills and ability to interact with personnel with different working cultures/levels/background. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to present complex issues simply to senior management. Fluent in English (written and oral). Interest in technology. Intellectual curiosity to learn about new products and new legal structures.
