Lockport. Castellum Management. Apartment Maintenance tech. $18 - $22/hour.
We are looking for a thorough, trustworthy, and skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve the good condition and functionality of our properties in WNY. You will perform maintenance tasks including: painting, carpentry, remodeling, plumbing & electrical, etc. A Maintenance Technician is a professional with a practical mind, attention to detail, and focus on Customer Service and Satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings, apartments and common areas in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities * Handle work orders in a timely, professional manner * Apartment turnovers including but not limited to: cleaning and prepping for move-in ready units; tear out and replace Kitchen and Bath fixtures; installation of tile and vinyl plank flooring; painting; drywall; basic electrical; basic plumbing * Maintain property appearance including monitoring grounds and common areas on a daily basis * After hours emergency calls as needed * Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs, fixtures, and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.) * Assist in the installation of ventilation, refrigeration, appliances, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary * Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality * Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed * Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.) * Undertake activities to minimize pest infiltration and harborage. * Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) * Assist in budget preparation and prepare repair estimates
Skills * Proven experience as maintenance technician * Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, appliance repair and other systems * Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods * Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices * Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills * Ability to lift 50-75 lbs * Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime * High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, experience in building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus * Valid Drivers License, Reliable Transportation, and own basic tools required
