Lockheed Martin Administrative Assistant Supervisor in Liverpool, New York

Description: This position located in Syracuse, NY provides management supervision and leadership within a functional organization to a department of administrative staff (20+) which are primarily located in Syracuse, NY.

Responsible for managing the workload and headcount of the administrative assistant staff, which includes handling all personnel activity (hiring, performance management, time recording approval, etc.). This leader will work closely with administrative professionals and the site leadership in partnership as One Team for the coordination of all aspects of customer and key business meetings while demonstrating Relationships Matter to achieve positive customer experiences for the supported management team.

Additional management responsibilities including liaison for administrative contractors and site level responsibilities (ie. Blood drive, New Hire Orientation assistance, etc.). The position requires an individual that is a team player and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to interface with all levels of leadership including Senior and Executive Leadership Team members with confidence. Must have good conflict resolution skills, the ability to build respectful working relationships along with motivational skills to energize the admin team. Occasional travel is required in the position to other Rotary and Mission Systems business area site locations.

Basic Qualifications:

Demonstrated leadership qualities leading employee/team meetings. Experience working projects within financial parameters. Background/experience with administrative assistant role/responsibilities. Concise verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:

Good familiarity with Lockheed Martin internal points of contact. Previous supervisory/leadership skills; excellent problem solving and resolution skills; proven communication skills with upper level leadership demonstrating confidentiality and discretion.
