Aerotek Controls Engineer in Lincoln, Nebraska

A systems integrator in Omaha, Nebraska is currently looking to hire a Controls Engineer in Omaha, Nebraska. The primary purpose of this position is for control system software application support and development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop software applications for various control equipment

• Participate in factory acceptance testing

• Perform customer site startup and commissioning

• Remote support / troubleshooting of existing clientele equipment via phone and internet connectivity

• Onsite Technical support and troubleshooting of clientele systems

• Assist fabrication shop with testing

• Other duties may be added within the general scope of controls engineering

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in related field of study

• Minimum 3 years’ work experience in industrial controls or factory automation with:

  • Electrical control circuits

  • Motor control

  • Digital and analog circuits

  • Programmable logic controllers (PLC’s)

  • Operator interface panels, touchscreens,

etc.

  • Human Machine Interface (HMI) software

  • Instrumentation

  • Variable speed drive motor controllers

• Experience and competency with control system software application development for:

  • PLC based systems

  • Human Machine Interface software platforms

  • Operator Interface

  • Variable Speed Drive configuration, setup,

and tuning

Proficiency with the following skills would be a plus :

  • Rockwell

  • Automation / Allen Bradley controller platforms

  • Servo

  • Control

  • Instrumentation

  • configuration and setup

  • Reporting
