SSOE Group Project VDC/BIM Coordinator in Leon, Mexico

The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

  • Set up models to Client and SSOE standards and procedures and prepare for drawing output. Support the project team with the model management process.

  • Project Model set-up and technical administration.

  • Creates project-specific model templates, title block formats, seeds, translation tables, key plans, annotation standards, and coordinate system establishment.

  • Populate and update project-wide data for drawing output.

  • Discipline model set-up.

  • Discipline model breakdown (i.e. MEP if needed).

  • Organize and maintain models and/or drawings in the appropriate document management system (DMS) depending on model platform according to SSOE/Client Standard.

  • Begin set-up of federated models for coordination and clash review (default software: Navisworks).

  • Automation set-up for PDF Print Sets, 2D/3D DWG exports, and Publish NWD Settings.

  • Assist in post processing of laser scan point data breakup.

  • Data extraction and import to/from project models.

  • Produce Deliverable exports out of the model.

  • Administer model/document control during workshare or construction.

  • Prepare models for sharing.

  • Perform regular maintenance process on models.

  • Re-Authoring of models and errors

  • Coordinates

  • Monitor model cleanliness: views, work sets, imported content, and links.

  • Archive Project Models.

  • Advise Design Technology teams and Quality Dept. on lessons learned; inform Project Manager of project delivery issues.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

  • Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.

  • High school diploma required.

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or Architecture/Engineering Technology preferred.

  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience with SSOE as a Designer 2 or five (5) years related designer experience with former employer(s).

  • Proficiency in the use of a computer for drafting and design applications required, as well as proficiency in reading project drawing documents.

  • Has general understanding of basic concepts and procedures within a single or multiple BIM/CAD platform(s).

  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Revit to create models, etc.

  • BIM360 administrator experience

  • Exposure to multi-discipline engineering environment
