As a Senior Field Applications Engineer & Team Leader - High Speed Fuses, you will give technical support to key strategic customers in Power Conversion, Utility, Renewable (PV, Energy Storage, Wind) segments for High Speed Fuse Product Line. This comprises application service, customer facing activities, and customized product development. You will be a key person in assuring Eaton Bussmann series fuse specification position by providing technical application services directly to Eaton customers and especially OEM’s.
You will also manage the High-Speed Fuse Applications team and associated activities. You should understand & gain through their activities market competition, provide technical training, application and product education to internal teams and external customers.
It is Eatons Bussmann series principal sales philosophy to work closely with key OEMs to utilize fuse technology in the design of their products, and further to specify Eaton’s Bussmann series fuses. Parallel to this pull-through approach, a secondary sales effort is to convert spare part fuse users to Bussmann products.
To be successful on above, the team must earn and maintain a reputation by always having a solution to any protection problem that our key customers might have. This position is responsible for communicating market needs from key accounts, OEMs, and larger distributors, that necessary resources are allocated in best possible way to develop solution for customers at early design-in stage.
Your key deliverables :
Manage Application Engineering team to ensure resources are deployed effectively to deliver results and achieve yearly goals.
Proactively learn application and application requirements behind strategic segments
Awareness/understanding of requirements driven by standards
Continuous improvement on application engineering selection tools
Manage custom solution project deck, develop new opportunities to build project pipeline, and deliver existing and new product sales growth.
Prioritize and tracking custom solutions project activities by coordinating with NPD, Product Management, Sales, Pricing, DM and SCM teams.
Lead monthly management report out to aligning activities with business strategy
Manage FAE mailbox for high speed fuses to ensure on time reply for technical enquiries from customer, distributors and sales.
Build and maintain technical-technical relationships with key OEM customers and distributors.
Cooperate with key OEMs to support early design-in projects that involves complex system selection, technical workshops and customized product development.
Interpret technology and market trends to collect VOC and support product management on product roadmap building
Provide technical/product trainings to customers. Support training materials, catalogue, application guide and marcomm material updating.
Ideally Bachelor of science/Master of science. Degree level education in either electrical or mechanical engineering or physics.
Experienced engineering management professional with strong organization skills
A proven track record of project management experience ideally within electrical engineering industry
Result-driven self-starter with proactive approach, keen to solve problems
Able to collaborate with multifunctional team to delivery project on time and within budget
Able to deal with complex problems and communicate solutions confidently to customers
Wide application knowledge on power conversion, renewable, electrical vehicle segments would be an advantage
Microsoft office (Word, excel, ppt, outlook) skills, knowledge of SAP is preferred but not essential
Good communicator to all levels
Demonstrate an understanding of electrical systems and the over-current protection principles and able to supply technical input to product and application literatures.
Able to demonstrate both product and application knowledge to customers and convince the customer with Bussmann series protection solutions.
Additional language capabilities outside English would be an advantage.
