CVS Health 2020 Summer Leadership Development Program- DC/MD/VA in Laurel, Maryland

Job Description

The Summer Leadership Development Program provides CVS interns the opportunity to build their business acumen and leadership skills through a variety of hands-on experiences with leaders locally and in the Washington DC Market. During this program, you will be based in a store near your School of Pharmacy, and will also have the opportunity to participate in development activities in Washington DC throughout the program. With the support of a Mentor, you will learn CVS Health programs in-depth, and receive professional and personal development. Experiences include:

Exploring different facets of Community Pharmacy, including history, innovation, and national influence

Learn what it's like to be a pharmacist working in the Pentagon

Interact with students from other schools as you visit iconic location during your time in-market

Network with Market Leaders and attend educational seminars focused on how to lead others

Building your desired career path with a mentor from our Field Leadership Team

Required Qualifications

• Current CVS Health Intern or similar experience with a desire to work in community pharmacy after graduation

• Enrolled in Pharmacy school in good academic standing and be entering the 3rd or 4th year of their PharmD program in the fall of 2020 (class of 2021 or 2022).

• Available full time for the duration of the program (5 weeks in June to July)

• Willing to travel to Washington DC once a week during the 5 week program (travel will be provided or reimbursed)

• Hold current intern license or be licensed in the state where they will practice (VA for Shenandoah and VCU, DC for Howard, MD for UMD and Notre Dame of Maryland)

Preferred Qualifications

At least 1 year experience in Community Pharmacy (Technician or Intern)

Education

Actively enrolled in a AACP accredited college or school of pharmacy
