If your answer is "yes", then we invite you to become a Hospital Services Distribution Technician for the American Red Cross!

Pay rate: $17.58 per hour plus applicable shift differential

Shift: Part-Time (20 hours a week) Flexibility needed, but a schedule will be provided 2-3 weeks in advance. Some weekends and holidays may be required.

Training: First 4-6 weeks, Monday - Friday standard daytime hours.

Responsibilities :

    1. Manufacture, store and distribute blood products/samples. Meet the quality and quantity production and distribution goals established by the department.

    2. Operate, maintain and perform quality control checks on equipment. Ensure adequate inventory of required supplies.

    3. Perform data entry and operate the computer programs associated with component production,

    labeling, storage, and shipping.

    1. Maintain accurate, legible and complete manufacturing department records.

    2. Perform the quarantine and disposition of unacceptable products/samples.

    3. Ensure products are suitable for release for distribution and are managed appropriately.

    4. Perform good inventory management practices throughout the manufacturing and shipping process.

    5. May perform customer service or inventory management as requested.

    6. May perform management of sample tubes.

    7. May make customer deliveries.

    8. Maintain accurate electronic and physical inventory locations for products.

    9. Perform other related duties as required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in a regulatory, laboratory or manufacturing setting preferred.

  • Manufacturing technicians working in Distribution or Plasma Sample Management positions may require a valid driver's license.
