Trihydro Corporation Project Geologist in Lander, Wyoming

Project Geologist – Golden, CO Trihydro, one of the top environmental and engineering consulting firms in the country, has an opening for a Project Geologist. The ideal candidate will join our Industrial, Commercial and Energy Services team and assist in providing clients across many industries effective, responsive, and safe solutions. As a member of our team, you will support our diverse range of clients, from Fortune 100 companies, to the federal government, to local communities nationwide to continuously improve human health and the environment. In your role as a Project Geologist, you will provide field support for soil and groundwater remediation implementation, overseeing drilling projects, logging soil cores and installing groundwater wells, soil and water sample collection, geologic and geochemical data review and interpretation, geologic and hydrogeologic map preparation, aquifer pump testing, technical report preparation, project management assistance, data management and interpretation, and field and construction oversight/management. The position requires working at commercial and industrial site locations. Mechanical aptitude, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic is required. GIS training is a plus. Applicants must have excellent technical writing skills and a demonstrated commitment to safe operations. This position is also responsible for the administration and stewardship of health and safety programs at active industrial sites and communicating with project management and client(s) concerning site activity. This position will require willingness to travel for field work (up to 25-50% of work time may include travel). Applicants must have a clean driving record, good technical writing and Microsoft Office skills, and a commitment to safe operations. The preferred candidate will be based in our Lander, WY office. Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geologic Engineering, Hydrogeology, with a Master’s Degree preferred

  • Applicants should be a licensed Professional Geologist (PG) or able to quickly test for their license

  • Very strong academic GPA and relevant thesis topic

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team members

  • Great employment history with a commitment to safe work practices

  • Initiative and motivation, with an emphasis on completing project deliverables on schedule

  • Dependable, with the ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to travel to client sites and other Trihydro offices

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Fluency with Microsoft Excel is mandatory. Familiar with Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, and affiliated applications helpful

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail and accuracy, as well as a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables

  • Direct industry employment history in environmental assessment, within an industrial setting, or a related field

  • Experience leading field events in an industrial setting
