Description:
The Senior Business Analyst develops and delivers analyses, insights and recommendations to various Publix business areas. This includes supporting business units and corporate support teams on tactical projects, analytical and accounting needs, performance measurement, technical support, training and process improvement support.
Additional responsibilities include:
prepares enterprise analytical reports, and system enhancements and development
develops databases, worksheets and queries for capturing and reporting useful information to enable fact-based decision-making
prepares and summarizes conclusions for various ad-hoc requests to support business questions outside the scope of business initiatives
provides updates on significant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Strategic Business Units (SBUs), as well as performance measurement for Publix operating areas.

Year End Bonus:
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or another analytical discipline with at least 3 years relevant business experience or equivalent OR
Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting or another analytical discipline with at least 4 years business experience or equivalent OR
High School diploma with at least 6 years business experience or equivalent
excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
basic knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Access
intermediate knowledge of Excel
basic knowledge of SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Accounting or MBA with concentration in Accounting or Finance
four or more years of relevant business experience
Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant or similar certifications
knowledge of Accounting and/or Finance principles, general business practices, financial statements and business practices specific to Publix
knowledge of statistics and quantitative methods
intermediate knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Access
advanced knowledge of Excel
intermediate knowledge of SQL
basic knowledge of SAP
intermediate knowledge of Activity Based Costing and ShrinkSmart
intermediate knowledge of Azure and MicroStrategy
