Hilton Assistant Marketing Manager in Kuwait City, Kuwait

What will I be doing?

As Assistant Marketing Manager, you will implement marketing and communications initiatives for Waldorf Astoria Kuwait to drive incremental revenue for F&B, Conferences and Events to achieve commercial and financial objectives within budgeted marketing expenses.Specifically, you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Ensures consistency and high standards of all external and internal communications;
  • Monitors and direct the accuracy and quality of all print material and electronic data reference to the hotel in line with corporate brand guidelines and within the approved tone and style;
  • Ensures that hotel complies with all agreed central and regional marketing activities/products through a program of internal audits and reviews;
  • Regularly audits all departments in ensuring hotel specific and company brand standards are adhered to;
  • Assists in developing and implementing promotional activities for all market segments and business units
  • Manages marketing projects related to rooms, F&B, Conferences and Events and Spa with high quality and on-target delivery;
  • Ensures that promotional activities are effectively executed across all distribution channels available and partnerships are leveraged for maximum benefit;
  • Supports the Director of Marketing & Communications in the development of marketing and communication strategies, budget and planning;
  • Develops and manages relations with key media contacts, maintain and update media database;
  • Supports and monitors ongoing media relations activities for all business units, PR events and media visits;
  • Liaises with the regional marketing team regarding joint marketing or promotional and PR opportunities;
  • Ensures up to date information is suitably presented to relevant stakeholders concerning F&B activities, promotions and up to date information for prospective customers;
  • Grows and maintains hotel databases to promote rooms, meetings, F&B and Spa offers through targeted campaigns;
  • Maintains and develops photographic library to agreed standards;
  • Oversees and approves any changes made to OTA channels or;
  • Reviews 3rd party website and social media content to ensure is accurate and up to date

  • Excellent written, spoken and read English proficiency
  • Previous Marketing experience in a similar environment (hospitality, agency or airlines)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills – confident and effective verbal and written communicator
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enable communication to wide audience and manage relationships
  • Strong understanding of local market
  • Creative and ideas orientated
  • Positive, enthusiast and team player
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure at all times
  • You currently hold a Kuwaiti passport and/or have a transferable visa to reside and work in Kuwait.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Previous experience of working in a Marketing and PR role in the hotel industry
  • Able to speak further key business languages
  • Experience of working with key marketing partnerships, media and design agencies
  • Master’s degree in Business, Communications or Marketing
  • Qualifications or courses relating to creative, descriptive or effective writing
