JOB REQUIREMENTS: Duties and Responsibilties of Job: PROJECT ENGINEER-FACILITIES, KPS Work Mode: Onsite Location: Kohler, WI Opportunity The Project Engineer will be responsible for ongoing facilities support and project management between all Po wer Systems (PS) locations to best support cost effective building utilization and successful project implementation. Included in these responsibilities are project due diligence and business case justification, authoring white papers and Authorized Corporate Transactions (ACT's) to obtain capital funding, project management including implementation and startup, and coordinating engineering efforts between outside and inside resources. Also includes daily support of Operations teams including Manufacturing, Materials, Purchasing, and Quality. Specific Responsibilities * Maintain and support building systems and forecast future capital investments. Building systems include security and fire suppression, IT network including WI-FI and cellular, utilities including sub-stations, transformers, and switchgear, stand-by generators, UPS, heating and cooling for building and process, fuel systems (storage and delivery), and test cell infrastructure including electrical di st ribution and load banks. Support includes updating building infrastructure drawings and equipment documentation. * Support skilled trades with technical knowledge and teaching best practices, including preventive maintenance, lock-out tag-out, predictive failure analysis, and breakdown support. * Ensure consistent practices and engineering support to other domestic PS facilities, both manufacturing and warehousing, located in Wisconsin. * Potential to assist with coordination of relocating manufacturing operations between PS facilities worldwide. Develop network of peers, worldwide, and exchange best practices. * Support cost reduction strategies with technical expertise and project management. * Support PS Sustainability with monitoring plant energy usage and suggesting ways to reduce consumption. Support efforts to become net zero or possibly return created energy to electrical grid. * Monitor new technical developments for possible application with PS and presen t bu siness case justification. * Travel requirements are very minimal and less than 3% annually. Skills/Requirements * Degree in Engineering from an accredited university required plus 3-5 years of practical experience. Knowledge and experience with supporting an industrial manufacturing facility preferred. * Frequent and effective use of Microsoft Office products including MS Project, AutoCAD, and SAP. * Previous experience with project management and demonstrated project implementation a plus. Project Management certifications including PMI is preferred.
