Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

• Understand how release and quarterly planning process works

• Provide full TPM coverage for storage program

• Coordinate quarterly planning process

• Independently and accurately report on the state of your release to executive partners

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

• Drive the success of releases for various VMware products (SaaS or on premise).

• Candidates having strong knowledge in Technical program management handled Networking / Storage / Cloud Software product projects are strongly preferred.

• Experience is 6 to 10 yrs

• Be the credible and trusted leader to deliver SW/HW releases to customers on plan and with high quality.

• Lead the planning and execution of the product releases from concept to Go-Live. Lead a team of Product Managers, Engineering, QE and other functional teams to deliver on customer, quality.

• Build and operate release including schedules, dependencies, risks, etc.

• Use your SDLC experience, technical background and product knowledge to proactively identify risks, issues and drive their resolution.

• Be the expert on SDLC/release lifecycle processes and champion process best practices, metrics and high quality standards with your delivery team.

• Be the trusted advisor on all aspects of the release during key checkpoint reviews and operations updates.

• Coordinate main development branch stability

• Represent storage teams at VMC level discussions and coordination checkpoints.

• Ability to quickly adopt and learn new projects/products, features and methodologies such as next generation vSAN, SaaS transformation, DevOps, etc.

• Connect your team with the rest of the VMware ecosystem including other VMware products

• Take your release deliverables Live after driving legal compliance and launch activities.

Storage TPM team, partners with teams, programs, releases, initiatives to increase alignment and support a sustainable, collaborative environment that continuously delivers value. We are responsible for driving operational efficiency to deliver key programs and initiatives and enable organizational alignment.

Where is this role located?

Flexible: The role is considered Hybrid and will be working from a Bengaluru VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable commute of the office.
