The Senior Trust Ops Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for our client facing teams. Primary tasks include completing probate accountings for trusts, preparing MS9 and MS10 town accountings, the a ccurate and timely processing of state and federal estimate and balance due payments and calculating and executing periodic payments for select Instututional accounts. The candidate will support our Trust, Agency and Institutional clients. Successful candidate will work in a team-oriented environment with our Private Advisors and other operations/support teams to deliver a seamless experience for our clients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about client service and will use communication and relationship management skills to ensure an exceptional level of client satisfaction. Ability to handle difficult client situations is critical. Must be detail-oriented, work with a high degree of accuracy and be able to handle multiple issues and meet short deadlines. He/She will be responsible for completing assigned tasks within established deadlines and in accordance with policies and procedures.
Specific functions may include:
Completing probate accounting for trusts
Preparing MS9 and MS10 town accountings
The accurate and timely processing of state and federal estimate and balance due payments
Calculating and executing periodic payments for select Institutional accounts
Reviewing new accounts on the department's accounting system to ensure clients receive correct tax forms and returns
Reviewing closing accounts to ensure accurate tax preparation fees are taken and reserves are set aside, where necessary
Generating metrics reporting for senior management
Independently researching complex internal and external inquiries
Assuming responsibility for other functions as needed to support the administration of Private Wealth clients
Qualifications
Qualifications (required)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Willingness to work on-site at the company’s Johnston, RI office
4 years + Financial Services experience
Knowledge of investment products
Knowledge of cash reconciliations
Excellent communication skills
Strong organization, time management and analytical skills
Attention to detail and understands the importance of data accuracy
Ability to identify issues and drive for resolution
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), ability to manage excel spreadsheets
Aptitude for learning and working in a service and team environment with a sense of urgency
Ability to perform responsibilities accurately and independently, in a fast paced multi-task environment
Ability to prepare client materials in an accurate, complete and professional manner
Ability to prioritize and handle large inflows of workload during peak processing times
Qualifications (Preferred)
Experience providing operational support for Trust/investments accounts for high net worth clients in a Private Bank
Experience using the InnoTrust accounting platform
Experience using OneSource tax software
