The Humana Enterprise Initiatives team is looking for an IT professional with strong technical experience, eager to put their skills to use in a strategic, partnership-building role. As a member of IT Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), you will work with senior leadership and program owners across Humana, to ensure operational readiness of enterprise initiatives. The Senior Technology Leadership Professional works with support and engineering teams to drive products from design completion to volume production release. Performs various engineering tests to verify and validate product designs. Supports product evaluation and qualification on leading edge technology components. Ensures that production schedules are followed and product(s) meet specifications and quality requirements. Interacts with product engineering, quality, manufacturing and marketing teams to analyze and provide technical support to help resolve customers' product related problems/issues. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
This role is an integral contributor to the Humana IT Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team and their support of production applications. The incumbent will work with the Enterprise Initiatives team and tasked with building awareness of, and engagement in, large enterprise initiatives. As a representative of IT SRE, they will ensure operational considerations are included during the strategy, planning and design stages.
Additional responsibilities include:
Represent SRE's operational readiness needs with partners (Development, Infrastructure, Business, etc.).
Understand complex, technical environments, with the ability to articulate requirements to a broad audience
Provide proactive, pre-implementation awareness of SRE interests and concerns.
Make connections with SRE support teams when/where appropriate.
Build SRE relationships across the enterprise to strengthen and enhance Humana's overall operational support model.
Successful engagement will result in SRE gaining early awareness of enterprise initiatives, partnering across the enterprise to ensure the incorporation of operational requirements, and engaging impacted SRE teams to ensure smooth transition from implementation to support.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5 or more years of technical experience
Experience with the technologies in use in the application(s) or infrastructure
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across varying levels of personnel, including senior leadership
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
IT Infrastructure and/or Network Experience
Six Sigma Certified
MBA or other Advanced Degree
Demonstrated ability running large scale projects
Experience with technology solutions assessments and/or strategy planning oversight
