The Boeing Company P-8 Experienced Maintenance Instructor in Jacksonville, Florida

The P-8 Experienced Maintenance Instructor will support the Jacksonville Courseware development team in the development and delivery of customer Aircraft maintenance training. This position will work directly with our customers to develop the training and perform hands on instruction. International and domestic travel will be required. Position is based in Jacksonville, FL.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides P-8 AE/AT rate Subject Matter Expert support for courseware maintenance instructor activities.

  • Instructor must possess in-depth understanding of the aircraft, aircraft systems, aircraft maintenance practices, troubleshooting techniques, test equipment, unique and common tools, support equipment, technical data, and use/documentation for the position.

  • Provides AE/AT rate training on all P-8 maintenance training media, including platform academics, computer-based training, training device instruction of aircraft maintenance forms.

  • 737 Electrical, C-40 Electrical, Cross trained in AM and or AT rate assigned P-8A systems.

  • Conducts analyses to evaluate customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives and design.

  • Oversees activities the development, delivery and evaluation of technical training.

  • Establishes processes for identifying training content and evaluating training effectiveness.

  • Uses specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials.

  • Gathers data to support complete proposal development activities.

  • Ensures accuracy and quality of training products.

  • Coaches and develops others.

  • Perform classroom and hands-on maintenance training for P-8 customers

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience) :

  • Currently possess a Bachelors degree

  • Hold or have held an Airframe and Power plant (A&P) License

  • 5+ years of Electrical and/or Avionics Mechanic experience working with various electrical components for military aircraft

  • 5+ years experience with P-8A platform

  • 1+ year experience as an Instructor in a Maritime Patrol airframe

  • Able to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time

Typical Education or Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
