CVS Health Sr Advisor - Development Engineer (ODM) in Irving, Texas

Job Description

The Senior Advisor Development Engineer (ODM) is responsible for technical analysis, design and build activities. You will utilize ODM, a business rules management system to drive significant efficiency by processing business logic expressed as business rules. Strong technical, functional, and interpersonal skills are key to perform this role successfully. You will partner and collaborate with business leaders, business analysts, clinical operation advisors, quality assurance, business partners, and project managers to deliver business change and innovation into our ODM based business applications software.  You will be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a project and will need to be able to deliver efficient solutions, as well as identify and properly mitigate any risks before deployment to production.Apart from above, you will be responsible for:• Evaluating and recommending tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and resulting in significant improvement in Business Operations productivity. • Collaborate with peer organizations, quality assurance and business users to produce cutting-edge software solutions.• Interpret business requirements to articulate the business needs to be addressed.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development and requirement analysis, design experience and experience analyzing data and understanding data patterns. • 2+ years of experience in design and development of IBM ODM (Operational Decision Manager) rule engine, specifically building decision tables in Decision Center. • Proven experience as a software Designer and Developer, specifically understanding business requirements and translating into software solutions and experience documenting standard practices and process diagrams.• 2+ years of experience in understanding and analyzing functional and technical function points, finding gaps in functionalities or in/out data conditions which need to be fixed before implementing enhancements.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 + years of hands on experience on ODM/WODM/ILOG J Rules.• Experience in designing orchestrating, authoring, deploying and integration of a large-scale complex rules based systems using ODM/WODM.• 2 project implementation experiences with IBM ODM 8.8 or higher needed.


• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related Technical field or comparable work.• Master’s in Computer Science related program preferred.
