Summary of Job Purpose:

    • The Information Technology IT Desktop Support Specialist ensures day-to-day operation of the information technology infrastructures including desktops, LAN, WAN, Telephony and Physical building security (Alarms, NVR, etc.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Networking:o Ensure the LAN / WAN are availableo Manage Active Directoryo Local User setupo Setup Network shareso Ability to document understand IP addressing, port configuration and protocol utilizationo Understand VLAN configuration and troubleshoot connection issueso Support VoIP Cisco Unify Communications, Phone and End User setupo Support Security System for Morpho readers, server and controllero Support E-mail – Escalation to SED IT France as neededo Configure and support Wireless – Wi-Fio Order, Setup and deploy cell phone Application: Supporting end user side support to, but not limited to applications belowo SAP/Citrix/Google Suite/Meeting Collaboration toolso M-Files - Enovia and other Engineering applicationso Microsoft Office Desktop:o Must be able to support Windows desktop environmento Restore computerso Work with shop floor requires safety shoes and goggleso Work with office environmento Ability to transfer data user data from one PC to another PCo Install standard applications according to written instructions such as Adobe Pro, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, upgrade Officeo Ability to image a PC with Windows, Post install of Windows install additional standard applications according to company instructions. General:o Strong troubleshooting skills for various computer systems, and network issueso Ability to be a self-starter, work the issues and resolve them without being toldo Strong computer hardware, software, and networking skillso Strong in-person, on-phone communication skills as well as writingo Excellent listening skills to understand client issues and ability to ask the right questionso Passion for technology and desire to help otherso Communicate technical issues in terms that are understood by both technical and non-technical users.o Able to multi-task and deal with multiple users and multiple issues simultaneouslyo Excellent time management, organization, and ability to work under pressureo Independent and resourceful for finding solutions for new and/or unknown issueso Must communicate with Safran Electronics & Defense and Safran (France)o Must be flexible with work hours as French support personnel may only be available during early PST and/or CST timeso Must use standard help desk ticketing tool for help desk managemento Must attend weekly IT meetingo Must exercise good judgement, will have access to sensitive informationo Must keep an organized and presentable work areao Must present a professional appearance and approach to customer support

Job requirements

Required Competencies:

Education / Experience:Basic Qualifications BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of IT experience Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to theInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons withinthe meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident(i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications Fluent in French Ability to triage and prioritize work

Skills and Abilities:Position Criteria General computer skills installing an operating system and applications Manage Active Directory, Print Server, Perform Backups Proficient with Microsoft: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio Thorough attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and in a team environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Exhibits clear and concise written and verbal communication client liaison skills. Capacity to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with multiple concurrent assignments Works and communicates effectively at all organizational levels and across functional areas The employee maybe required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload dictates. Ability read and follow instructions in English
