Job Description

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for supporting the planning, design and execution of system testing on simple to complex implementations. Works collaboratively within the IT department and business units to create, execute and validate test cases based upon business requirements. Identifies and documents defects when performing test execution in a fast-paced, fluid and changing environment.

• Reviews user requirement documents to ensure that requirements are testable.

• Works with business analysts and project managers to determine the most effective testing and inspection strategy for projects of varying complexity and size.

• Develops test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports based on business requirements documents for multiple projects of varying sizes

• Execute testing on various software applications, support and reporting systems

• Documents and reports defects with well-defined Steps to Reproduce

• Analyze chain of events leading to a defect to identify point of failure

• Ensures that measurable test objectives and regression test suite are established for each system being tested

• Assist in identifying and validating internal tools that have a GxP impact.

• Assist in scoping validation efforts based on a corporate risk management approach.

• Help project teams define appropriate computerized systems validation strategies, including testing approaches and identifying appropriate objective evidence.

• Review and approve test executions performed by the Software Test Analysts during study validation activities.

• Develop, review, and/or approve Validation Plans and Reports.

• Maintain awareness of data management, validation, and data integrity needs in a GCP regulated environment.

• Participate in audits as a CSV subject matter expert.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited school. Major in relevant information/computer technology field preferred

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years prior experience in a Quality Assurance Analyst role

• Writing use cases and test plans, testing criteria, including data type validation, pass/fail conditions, boundary conditions, as well as experience designing, developing and testing processes for data

• At least intermediate knowledge of SQL is required

• Working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile/Scrum software methodologies

• Experience with Automated Testing tools such as Selenium; TFS or other related products

• Familiarity with all aspects of Quality Assurance testing of software, including Unit, System, Integration and Regression testing

• Skilled in the use of Test Management Tools to document, analyze, track defects and communicate testing results

• Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office environment including the ability to use a wide variety of software such as Word, MS Excel, and MS Project

• Requires knowledge of FDA regulated biotechnology or drug validation requirements (e.g., 21 CFR 210, 211 or 21 CFR 820 or ICH Q7)

• Experience executing validation projects for biotech or pharmaceutical production projects
