JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson seeks a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their Urology team in Iron Mountain, Michigan. This position works under the supervision of registered nurses, advanced practitioners, and/or physicians to provide exceptional care to patients in a medical office setting as we strive to become an employer of choice and the premier healthcare provider in the region. WHAT YOU WILL DO. Administer medications (oral and injectable) as prescribed by healthcare providers; ensure proper dosage, timing, and documentation; monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects. Maintain professionalism with staff, patients, and care providers at all times while ensuring patient confidentiality. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients either electronic or paper format and includes vital signs, medication administration, and treatments performed. Schedule patient appointments, answer phones, complete prior authorizations, and maintain medical supplies. Perform blood glucose monitoring and venipunctures, when needed and after proper training. Ability to float to other clinics as needed and/or assigned. WHAT WE OFFER. \$22.50 - \$29.25 per hour starting pay based on experience. Part-time weekday position (no weekends) with start times between 7:45am-8:30am; shifts as assigned. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR. Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan required; Licensed in the State of Wisconsin helpful. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days if hired for this position. Previous nursing experience in outpatient services, a clinic, or office setting preferred. Basic knowledge of immunization schedules from birth through adulthood. Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize tasks. Ability to physically and mentally carry out the functions of this position. Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor that ensures trust, competence, and compassion amongst patients and team members.
