As a Startegy & Planning Specialist Sr. within PNC's Security organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. Remote work will be considered for a well-qualified candidate.
The role of Strategy & Planning Specialist Sr. focuses on providing strategic enhancement of IT systems or operational processes supporting the regulatory, compliance, and fraud function within the Security organization. This is a Strategy & Planning Specialist Sr. facing role that focuses on delivery of regulatory remediation, process and technology improvement, and delivering insights to our leadership and stakeholders in a fast pace environment through enabling technologies and new processes.
The successful senior specialist will:
•Provide high quality consulting experience to our leadership and stakeholders while establishing relationships at appropriate levels.
•Monitor engagements progress and manage execution risks.
•Understand current business and industry trends relevant to the business.
•Demonstrate deep technical capabilities and professional knowledge along with the ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge.
•Interfacing directly with leadership and stakeholders, and performing project management functions.
•Gathering financial services compliance and security business requirements.
•Translating business requirements into IT system functional requirements.
•Developing system change and configuration options.
•Supporting implementation changes to third party and custom development systems.
•Supporting testing system changes.
•Assessing compliance programs and technology.
•Performing data analysis on subsets of security data and assessing data availability, adequacy and quality.
•Assisting with practice development initiatives.
•Assisting with proposal and new business development.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
•Ability and comfort level researching security inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies
•Willingness to be able to travel
Experience in any of the following areas:
•Definition and design of business, functional and technical requirements; design of business or technology architecture.
•System selection and implementation support; systems development lifecycle (SDLC).
•Data architecture, data mapping and conversion; data analysis and forensics.
•Compliance analytics, metrics, dashboards and reporting (Data Analytics).
•Quality assurance and testing (QA).
•Program/Project management and implementation planning (PMO).
•Must have consulting experience or internal consulting experience.
Preferred Application/Package experience in any of the following:
•Microsoft Office Suite – Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, SharePoint
•Transaction Monitoring Vendor Solutions – Actimize Enterprise Fraud Platform, Oracle Mantas, Nice Actimize, Ping, Trusteer, SAS
•Data and Compliance Analytics tools – SQL, Spotfire, Tableau, Qlikview, Cognos, SAS
Supports one or more strategic initiatives to understand, analyze, develop, recommend, and deliver strategy and planning solutions.
Defines the business problem, identifies issues and implements a planned approach for one or more initiatives.
Defines and obtains data collection, research and reporting activities for assigned initiatives.
Analyzes and recommends solutions for key initiatives. Works with more senior team members to develop and deliver presentations.
Collaborates with the line of business to implement recommended solutions.

Planning: Tactical, Strategic – Ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Problem Solving – Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Strategic Thinking – Applies organizational acumen to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
