Work Days and Expected Hours:
Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)
Function: Assists Commercial Loan Documentation Assistant Manager, Team Leaders and Bankers in the daily functions of the Commercial Loan Documentation Department. Documents and maintains records for commercial loans to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance in the loan processing system, according to Corporate Banking Policy, federal and state regulations and the approval.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Acquires and maintains detailed knowledge of all commercial loan products.
Acquires and maintains proficiency in Laser Pro documentation software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Optima, nCino, IBS inquires, email, intranet and internet applications.
Acquires and maintains a thorough knowledge of all applicable laws and S&T Bank Corporate Banking Policy to ensure compliance.
Reviews initial documentation required (i.e. flood determinations, appraisals, property reports, title commitments, UCC-1 searches, domestic lien searches, OFAC, etc.) as stipulated by the underwriter in conjunction with federal & state regulations and bank policy.
Completes searches and inquiries regarding all new borrowing entities for verification of legal existence and current good standing status
Submits requests for supportive documents regarding collateral lien position and vested ownership.
Acquires and maintains thorough knowledge of commercial documentation, with strong emphasis on organizational documents (i.e. by-laws, operating agreements, partnership agreements and trust agreements, etc.) to ensure documents are prepared.
Prepares commercial loan documentation following state and federal regulations, Corporate Banking Policy requirements as well as the loan approval. Prepares all non-Laser Pro documentation in word processing software to complete loan documentation packages. Prepares all exception documents as requested.
Prepares preliminary amortization schedules for Bankers.
Daily interactions including but not limited to bank personnel, insurance agents, attorneys, abstractors, title companies, brokerage firms, other financial institutions, federal, state and local regulators, as well as customers for information needed to have the loan documented properly.
Maintains a good working relationship with bank employees. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization.
Performs all additional duties as required.
Physical Demands
Operates a keypad device, electronic equipment, office equipment: 90% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumb, hands, wrists, elbows, legs, lower and upper torso and feet. The job requires sitting 6 hours per day in a straight and leaning position. Walking is required one hour per day which is slow in speed. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing and filing up to 60% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18”-20” for computer work. - High School or better in Academic/General
Experience
Required
- 1-2 year: Requires a minimum of one to two years of general business experience, with banking and loan experience preferred.
