JOB SUMMARY
The Data Solution Analyst is responsible for evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas of improvement and working with both business stakeholders as well as the Business Intelligence (BI) & Analytics team to develop and deliver ongoing data needs. Also includes the subsequent standardization, consolidation and centralization within the Data Hub and/or BI platform. Will be part of a team whose goal is to support business analysis and deliver insights, as well as implement data solutions to mitigate the need for current non-standard user created solutions. The Solution Analyst will play an integral role in the implementing and maintaining effective data products through the documentation of user stories and collaboration with engineers, architects, and developers.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with functional business groups to define requirements.
Engage with clients and functional business groups to define implementation processes and timeline estimates.
Review, analyze and propose changes to existing systems to increase business effectiveness and efficiencies.
Lead design sessions to confirm system enhancement functionality.
Provide recommendations or options to resolve existing and/or potential issues of operating systems
Create detailed requirement documentation as well as systems models, diagrams and charts to provide guidance for the application development team.
Develop data product documentation for end users and application developers.
As necessary, provide initial tool training to end-users.
Identify and establish project scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define success criteria.
Provide innovative ideas to improve organizational performance
Challenge the status quo to design solutions that drive efficient processes across all teams.
Collaborate with Data Hub Engineering & Architecture development team members.
Coordinate and perform tests to validate successful functionality prior to all software updates
Perform other related duties as assigned by management

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal and facilitation skills.
Must be able to think in abstract terms in order to understand how systems work together even when documentation is lacking.
Intellectual curiosity; should enjoy gathering and digging deeply into data to identify issues and identify opportunities.
Ability to understand business and system requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Knowledge of agile systems development, business intelligence and analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Working knowledge of SQL
Familiarity with Amazon Web Services components
Experience with modern BI & data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, Looker, Quicksight, etc.) preferred, QlikSense or Amazon Quicksight in particular.
WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED
5 years of related experience
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Economics
