Summary This position is located at Hunter Golf course, Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah GA. This is a Regular Full-time position with a minimum work week of 40 hours and eligible for benefits. Responsibilities Manages a business activity (Golf operations) as an Assistant Manager. Monitor and manage business activity in its entirety (e.g. rounds of golf, range usage, inventory control, equipment and supply procurement). Recommends and enforces all operating procedures. Run cash register, consolidate daily sales activities and organize/conduct Private Golf outings as scheduled. Conducts audits and reports as needed for operations. Facilitate and conduct a successful youth golf program with availability for adult programs and individual instruction. Supervise assigned staff. FOR FULL JOB DESCRIPTION: Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Possess one (1) year specialized experience managing a business which include but not limited to duties such as Business costing and projection, supervision of employees, creation of operating procedures etc? OR Have four (4) years education above high school level directly related to the duties to be performed (e.g. Business Management)? HIGHLY QUALIFIED CRITERIA: Must possess at least two of the criteria to be highly qualified. 1. Possess minimum two years work experience in golf operations within Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) or at a USGA recognized facility. 2. Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls and inventory management. 3. Possess Level 2 PGA Apprentice or pursuing PGA apprentice (must submit documentation for verification) **Applicants who meet the Minimum qualifications and Highly qualified criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly qualified list.
