MD Anderson Cancer Center Work Control Coordinator in Houston, Texas

Work Schedule: 7am-3:30pm with a 30 minute lunch

Position is hybrid but will need to come onsite 1-2 times a month or as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Accepts requests for work or estimates and processes (which may include: plans, tracks,

reports and follows up) the work or estimates. Audits work order files to ensure accurate

completion and material/activity log information is being submitted. Initiates, expedites,

coordinates, tracks, communicates and follows-up with clients and contractors about

maintenance work and facility projects.

SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the Work Control Coordinator position is to communicate and

coordinate information about personnel, material, and time to accomplish facility

maintenance and project work on a priority basis. WCC also coordinates cost, work data,

and status among clients, contractors, operations and maintenance, and other Facility

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

ORDER AND RECEIPT OF MATERIALS

•Timely processing of material requests in the CMMS.

•Perform quality checks on all submitted material requests.

•Follow up on client approvals and enter updates in CMMS.

•Coordinate with the Warehouse or outside vendors on ETAs of materials.

• Sends receiving tickets to Materials Management as needed.

•Organize and file receiving tickets.

•Maintain communication with the Warehouse (e.g. order points, delivery issues, returns,

exchanges).

WORK ORDERS AND QUERY MAINTENANCE

•Create low priority work orders

as requested by technicians.

•Run, review, and maintain CMMS queries daily.

•Ensure that all pertinent work order fields are populated with the correct information.

•Notify O&M Supervisor and Planner of any high priority work orders that have not been

addressed in a 24-hr period.

ASSET DATA AND MAINTENANCE

•Create equipment asset numbers in the

CMMS as requested via the FM Equipment Matrix.

•Maintain CMMS equipment asset data per CMMS standards and update details as

needed.

PM DATA AND MAINTENANCE

•Create PM records, Job Plans and Inspections in

the CMMS per O&M Supervisor directions.

•Maintain PM records per CMMS standards and update details as needed.

ROUTES AND PM PROGRAM MAINTENANCE

•Create and maintain PM Master

Records, Rounds and Inspections.

•Generate PMs, Routes and inspection work orders.

•Enter specific material information into the PM system.

•Run, save, and print out results of queries on Maximo. Run Business Objects reports

pertaining department business, and understand the output.

Other duties as assigned

Associate's degree or trade diploma/certificate. Two years of administrative or clerical experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
