MSOC is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join the Platform Engineering team. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for leading the Platform Engineering section procurement team; support MSOC procurements, including approvals, tracking against budgets, forecasts, subcontract support that can be sensitive in nature and which at times may require full RFPs. Support the procurement supply chain management segments of the Platform Engineering section which include, but are not limited to, generating procurement requests, tracking such requests throughout the entire procurement supply chain, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, particularly with Platform Engineering personnel and the KBR corporate procurement team, and generate a variety of procurement related reports on a frequent basis.Responsibilities:• Keep track of all Platform Engineering procured goods and services• Maintain accurate records including details on price and delivery.• Support the forecast of approved assets to be procured• Continuously assess the current procurement process, procedure, and tools to identify viable opportunities for improvement• Develop new processes and procedures as needed when gaps are identified.• Conduct inspections of received items as requested and/or as needed• Identify maintenance requirements, as needed, of procurement items.• As needed, initiate, review and ensure approvals or hardware procurement items.• Support the development of training material for personnel performing procurement activities.• Audit purchase requests and purchase orders to ensure compliance with requested materials and charging directions.• Be responsible for the management and upkeep of the internal Platform Engineering Procurement Ledger.• Update the contract Master Material List with the Platform Engineering procurement updates.• Handle any required procurement documentation pertaining to the Platform Engineering team.• Ensure compliance by Platform Engineering personnel of submitted procurement requests.• Support the update of the formal procurement procedure document used in the contract.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent

and minimum of 2 years related experience, with typical experience ranging from 3-7 years. ​

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with MS Excel• Strong communication and negotiation skills.• Strong organization skills• Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.• Detailed oriented.• Excellent interpersonal skillsDesired qualifications:• Knowledge of the US Government Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) System• 1+ years’ experience in the procurement field, particularly related to US government acquisition and procurement activities• Already has productive relationships with the S&S KBR Procurement team• Familiar with the pertinent procurement stakeholders within MSOC and the S&S KBR Procurement team.• Knowledge and experience with inventory tracking systems• Have some exposure to or knowledge as a Book Manager
