Description

We are seeking an experienced Applications Manager with expertise in PowerApps to lead our application development and integration efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing cross-functional teams, designing, developing, and implementing various applications, and a deep understanding of PowerApps development and integration capabilities. The Applications Manager will play a critical role in driving innovation, optimizing business processes, and delivering high-quality solutions to meet our organization's needs.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and align application strategies with organizational goals.

  • Develop and maintain the applications roadmap, ensuring that it supports the company's long-term objectives and technological advancements.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead a team of developers and analysts in the design, development, integration, and maintenance of applications.

  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Application Development:

  • Oversee the design and development of custom applications using PowerApps, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security protocols.

  • Drive the implementation of scalable and efficient solutions to meet business requirements and improve operational efficiency.

Integration and Support:

  • Manage the integration of applications with existing systems, databases, and third-party platforms to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.

  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for applications, addressing issues and implementing enhancements as needed.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of applications.

  • Conduct regular testing, code reviews, and audits to identify and address potential issues proactively.

Vendor Management:

  • Evaluate third-party solutions, tools, and services, and manage vendor relationships to support application development and integration efforts effectively.

Documentation and Training:

  • Develop comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and training materials, to facilitate user adoption and knowledge transfer.

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate users and stakeholders on application functionalities, best practices, and new features.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in application development and management, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.

  • Proficiency in PowerApps development and integration, including canvas apps, model-driven apps, and Power Automate (Flow).

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, and Office 365 suite.

  • Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL Database) and web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality applications on time and within budget.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker, Power Platform Functional Consultant) are a plus.
