Candidates who can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, will be preferred for this position. Candidates with the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations preferred. Located in the Houston, Texas area, this Accounting Manager position would be on a permanent basis.

Your responsibilities

• Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

• Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts owned by Senior Accountant

• Assemble various technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses

• Work alongside FP& A and accounting team to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

• Command sufficient knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

• Assist in the implementation of Financials, which includes designing systems and processes, migrating data, testing, training, and administrating

• Encourage and manage the full accounting team performance so that close deadlines are met

  Requirements

Requirements:

-4+ years in Accounting

• Bachelors / Honours Degree required

• Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)/ Accounts Payable (AP)

-Expertise in GAP/GL

• Accounting Software Systems experience/ Newstar is a Plus

• Experience in Homebuilding/Real Estate is a Plus
