Seeking a Financial Analyst in IT Healthcare Industry

Full-Time opportunity, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am- 5:00 pm.

6 month Contract to hire as FTE

Fully Remote + occasional onsite. MUST RESIDE ON OAHU

Description:

Looking for a Financial Analyst to help manage their complicated budgeting requirements within the IT. Ideal candidate will have excellent communication as they will be communicating budgeting requirements with IT managers and facilitating monthly meetings.

Experience with financial statements, knowledge of accounting principles such as depreciation, balance sheets, project-cost accounting, concept of cost centers, lines of business. A small portion of the role would also be updating their MS Project Server with project specific data. Collects, analyzes, documents, and coordinates multiple IT processes and requirements to summarize and prepare recommendations for budget management functions. Interest in technology as they would work with programs such as: Excel, Service Now, Dynamics GP, ADP, Solver, and other legacy systems for accounting. Involved in the design of system processes and workflows to define and implement configuration requirements for financial management platform. They will also be helping with ServiceNow improvements for automation and process improvement.

Ideal attitude is someone who can quickly evaluate a situation and escalate if needed, bringing ideas to the table and identify trends, and have a sense of urgency and flexibility. Executes financial management functions to support the analysis, forecasting, reporting, and monitoring of budget performance in the Information Technology Department for 30 plus managers.

Works on multiple projects providing subject matter expertise and technical direction. May manage small and medium-sized, moderately complex projects. May serve as a project team member for projects dealing with financial management and reporting.

Top Skills' Details:

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or any related field

  1. MUST HAVE: Proficient in Accounting Principles with 2+ years of working experience.

  2. MUST HAVE: Proficient in financial management functions to support the analysis, forecasting, reporting, and monitoring of budget performance

  3. Communicate effectively and able to build interpersonal relationships.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Coordinates with all levels of IT and business management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding budget plans, trend future requirements and operating forecasts.

o Model business scenarios, funding investment scenarios, and track performance metrics to enable IT leadership to make strategic department and company-wide decisions.

o Facilitate the development of monthly, quarterly, annual, ad-hoc financial reports to report budget performance and variances analysis.

o Lead activities between IT and business units in order to prepare annual project portfolio budget based on organization's performance, expense reports and past budget.

o Review and analyze budget on a monthly basis to analyze trends affecting budget needs.

o Leverage technical expertise to provide quantitative analysis around cost drivers and budget consumption trends. Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.

o Develops and communicates complex ROI models to analyze and recommend project business value to aid upper management decision making on project prioritization.

  1. Ensures tools functionality and supporting financial management processes are in synergy with Finance and Accounting, IT Governance, and IT Program Office.

o Create, design, and maintain reusable datasets with appropriate architecture to work with high level of data complexity. Create dashboards/reports to surface data for different stakeholders.

o Contribute to the development of analytical frameworks, tools, and skills needed in support of technical requirements.

o Develop and design solutions to scale and automated financial processes.

o Guides the analysis, development, implementation, and maintenance of financial management tools and supporting process to streamline and improve existing financial management processes.

o Communicates and trains of the use of tools and supporting processes as appropriate.

o Designs system processes and workflows to define, test, and implement configuration requirements for financial management platform.

o Utilizes systems thinking to analyze impact tool configuration against core business processes of asset management, work demand management, application portfolio management, resource management, and contract management on a converged platform.

o Identifies and implements process improvement and process automation.
