Vistex, Inc. Presales Specialist in Hoffman Estates, Illinois

The Presales Specialist will report directly to the Manager of Solution Engineering and will be located in the Vistex Hoffman Estates, IL office; and, can expect to have frequent interaction with Sales, Marketing, Client Services, and product management.

The main purpose of this position is to assist in the build and delivery of customized demo scenarios for potential and existing customers of the Vistex suite of products. Strong analytical and excel skills are required.

  • Develop and maintain technical, product functionality and operational knowledge of Vistex software products

  • Collaborate closely with Solution Engineers and Sales team members, assist with gathering all necessary business and technical requirements, and build successful, customized product demonstrations

  • Create reports and analytics on current system data

  • Other duties as required or directed

  • 1+ years’ High Tech, Wholesale Distribution, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Retail or Foodservice industry experience.

  • Strong business acumen

  • Demonstrate exemplary verbal and written communication, skills

  • Accomplished trainer/public speaker comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization

  • Extremely comfortable in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent time management and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively

  • A cool-head, able to maintain poise and composure under pressure in relatively ambiguous and complex situations

  • Highly accountable, understanding that Pre-Sales directly impacts the Vistex brand, market reputation, prospect/client impressions, and sales performance

  • Proven ability to be both a team player and work independently

  • Highly organized, with strong planning skills; deliver on-time and to high-quality standards

  • Self-motivated, team-minded entrepreneurial attitude

  • Highly reliable and dedicated work ethic with consistent attendance and punctuality are critical

  • Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities

  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)

  • BA/BS degree strongly preferred
