Tool Install Design Lead

job summary:

A Tool Install Design Lead is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Hillsboro, OR area. As a Tool Install Design Lead, you will provide technical and application support for the Advanced Facilities team. This position will provide you with an opportunity to participate in the design of state of the art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities. Each day you will apply skills in engineering, communications, and problem solving in a fast-paced, professional, design and construction environment.

  • Coordinate with the structural, electrical, mechanical, and architectural disciplines to produce a fully coordinated design package for installing semiconductor manufacturing tools.

  • You will collaboratively work with lead engineers, tool owners, and project managers to identify and understand and manage the scope of work, schedule, and budget of tool install design packages (drawings).

  • The Tool Install Design Lead will be responsible for Interfacing with the client, project manager, and design team to produce tool install design packages for a Semiconductor client.

  • Responsible for the start, execution and completion of high-quality tool installations design packages that are on schedule, within scope of TI Design and budget.

  • Complete necessary field verifications to ensure accuracy of tool install design package.

Here's What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering or Construction Management or Business

  • 8+ years of internal or external client facing engineering experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Manage scope, budget, and schedule to meet project goals.

  • Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines such as electrical, structural, architectural and process to develop designs.

  • Are responsible for up front site selection and due diligence activities.

  • Exercise judgment in developing plans or alternatives and work with teams to assure quality plans.

  • Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.

  • Experience in semiconductor tool install

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to project engineers and designers on a project-by-project basis.

  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

  • Assist in the development of group's systems, procedures, standards and knowledge management.
