Change Healthcare Patient Services Representative (Health Insurance) in Hartford, Connecticut
Overview of PositionThis position is responsible for answering patient calls and researching and resolving issues in order to receive maximum profitability for clients.
This is a work-from-home position. Company equipment will be provided. Must have high speed internet. MUST be willing to work 8am-4:30pm Mountain time/9am-5:30pm Central time.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Reviews claims to make sure that payer-specific billing requirements are met
Follows up on billing
Determines and applies appropriate adjustments
Answers inquiries and updates patient accounts as necessary.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of related work experience; Healthcare and/or Insurance billing or processing and customer service preferred
Must be computer literate including MS Office Suite to include Word and Excel.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Call center experience
Managed care experience working with a health plan or TPA (i.e. Claims, Customer Service/Member Services etc.) preferred
Overall good knowledge of patient accounts receivable responsibilities
Good understanding of the billing process
Able to work with little supervision.
