Description:

Preferred: Basic machine shop and small part fabrication experience. Experience designing with aerospace grade materials and finishes. Proficient with analysis tools including Ansys, SolidWorks, or NASTRAN. 12+ years of experience with aerospace vehicle or flight hardware. Experience spacecraft, satellites, aircraft, or aerospace systems. Experience with Electronics packaging. Expertise with MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-8591, MIL-STD-8856, MIL-STD-1763. Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or similar advanced degree. Security Clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering experience or equivalent (Master's degree may be used). Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering (or similar). Working knowledge of the fundamental principles for performing mechanical design and analysis including structural, thermal, or vibration. Familiarity with and ability to use and manipulate technical drawings in mechanical CAD tools such as SolidWorks. Ability to work across mechanical, aeronautical, electrical, and materials engineering disciplines. Excellent written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills. Works well as a part of a team. Good interpersonal skills including a passionate and can-do attitude.
