Pizza Hut Food Service Manager in Guymon, Oklahoma

FOOD SERVICE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

A. Educate and Development of Employees

Actively recruits Foodservice staff

Educate and develop all Foodservice staff

Complete staff interviews in conjunction with Store Manager.

Schedules Food Service Staff in line with customer count.

Hold One on One coaching sessions with each staff member at least quarterly

Accurately prioritize job responsibilities so that highest level of customer service is provided.

Able to direct the work of other employees and lead by example.

Communicate with store associates so that they are informed of pertinent operational and policy changes.

Manages employees in accordance with legal and company guidelines; Follows the company's progressive discipline policy;

Ensures all issues, personnel, safety, and operational, are corrected without delay.

Works for the Store Manager, keeping them informed of Food Service operation and technical details

B. Customer Service

Ensure that each Guest receives outstanding Guest Service by providing a Guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Guest, maintaining outstanding standards and solid product knowledge, and providing prompt service.

Keeps current on competitors offerings; Solicits feedback from customers

Actively promotes new items and specials; Makes suggestions based on local needs or customer requests

C. Inventory Management & Security

Knows metrics for the site and what current performance of products is

Completes deli paperwork, enters vendor invoices, and submits payroll

Audits all paperwork

Works to ensure all employees on their shift operate within company guidelines to achieve sales and profit

Knows how inventory processes work and understands how it affects the site

Knows how to order product.

Follows correct vendor checkin procedure and ensures authorized employees do so as well

Follows company policy in regard to store emergencies and accidents, excessive cash in registers and safe security

Accurately records waste and spoilage and works with the Food Service Director to make adjustments as needed

Walks Food Service Area in detail each day

Protects company assets at all times

D. Operations

Ensure appropriate deli inventory levels at all times by ordering product in a thorough, efficient, and timely manner; Ensure buildto's of warmers and coolers are followed and adjusted as needed

Able to analyze and understand made & waste sheets

Assign specific prep lists and follow up with employees to ensure completion

Understands labor costs, scheduling. Sets roster and wages to budgeted % to sales

Coaches personnel on their job expectations, cooking and preparing techniques

Label, date, rotate, and store all items properly to control waste

Maintain health and sanitation standards for self and employees. Knows food safety.

Knows operation and cleaning of all fixtures and equipment within area.

Continually work to increase deli sales & provide suggestions for improvement to supervisor regarding all areas of store operations

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to explain and enforce operating policies and procedures.

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers in a professional and courteous manner.

Must be able to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions.

Must have the ability to follow verbal and written communications.

Must be able to operate a cash register, handle money, maintain fiscal records, and operate general office equipment.

Must be able to independently apply and carry out policies and procedures within assigned area of responsibility.

Must be able to perform mathematical computations with accuracy and have some computer skills.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area and climb ladders

  2. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.

  3. Ability to perform repetitive standing, stooping, and bending as necessary.

  4. Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

  5. Ability to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, bend and clean areas such as bathrooms, and lift and carry out trash containers and place in an outside bin.

  6. Ability to stand up for at least an 8 hour shift.

  7. Ability to enter and work in a cooler at a temperature of 28 degrees and a freezer of 0 to10 degrees below zero.
