Industrial Placement 2022 - 2023 – Formula E - Performance Simulation

We operate a 13-month (August 2022 – August 2023) student placement programme within the Formula E team. This is an exciting opportunity where you will work with highly skilled engineering professionals and graduates who you can learn from and develop with - the more questions you ask, the more you will gain from your experience. It is important to know that many of our industrial placements have been successful in obtaining graduate roles on completion of their degree.

The placement in Performance Simulation Group at Formula E is an amazing opportunity where you will be involved on different projects across the team. You will be embedded in a group that is responsible of maximising the car performance through several simulation techniques and surrounded by an experienced group of Engineers (i.e., Race/Performance Engineers, Simulation Engineers, Software Engineers). We will help you to develop yourself at professional level while trying to make our car quicker.

To be eligible for our Performance Simulation placement, you should be working towards a degree in Mathematics, Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive or Motor Sport Engineering. Coding skills in any programming language would be advantageous.

Due to the short-term nature of student placements, we are unable to accept applications from candidates who do not have entitlement to live and work in the United Kingdom and we are also unable to accept students in their final year of University.

Those students that are shortlisted will be invited to attend an assessment. It is expected that the student takes sole responsibility for making suitable travel and accommodation arrangements.

The selection process will begin in early November.
