Corewell Health Sourcing Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Job Summary
Acts as the key contact and subject matter expert for all strategic supplier management activities. Identifies, develops and manages a preferred supply base that aligns with Spectrum Health strategies and goals. Provides supply chain vision, decision making and execution support to assigned service line, product or support area. Develops strong supplier relationships, ensuring effective internal and external communications and timely resolution of open items.
Essential Functions
Develop and manage sourcing strategies and projects designed to meet Spectrum Health objectives. Develops relationships with internal customers and support areas to achieve enterprise objectives, influences key stakeholders and jointly develop strategic sourcing strategies.
Deliver positive financial results by managing total costs through developing plans that generate long term cost benefits.
Develop statements of work (SOWs), and is responsible for the final versions of requests information (RFI), requests for quotations (RFQ) and requests for proposal (RFP), as well as managing the contract development and negotiation process for assigned products/commodities.
For strategic contracts, manages contract review meetings to ensure delivery against objectives and contract budgets; develops regular reports on contract milestones and performance; and informs internal customers, suppliers and management of activities and progress, through both verbal and written communications.
Actively participate in or lead the continuous improvement of related business processes. Oversight of supplier issues with pricing, quality, service or system connectivity leading prompt resolution of issues.
Administers commercial and financial arrangements with suppliers to include billing, invoicing and performance/penalty adjustments, where appropriate.
Creates a customer-focused, service-based approach to working with stakeholders and suppliers, which emphasizes the creation and cultivation of cross-organizational relationships.
Accountable as a role model for customer service excellence.
Develop supplier risk mitigation plans to ensure business continuity and security.
Qualifications
Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Supply Management, Business, Finance, or related field required
Preferred Master's Degree
2 years of relevant experience Supply Management experience with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development. Required
2 years of relevant experience Knowledge and application of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration. Required
2 years of relevant experience Knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk factors including experience in assessing and mitigating risk in the supply base. Required
2 years of relevant experience Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies & cost reduction methodologies. Required
2 years of relevant experience operating in a highly regulated industry. Medical Device industry sourcing and supplier management. Required
CRT-Professional in Supply Management, Certified (CPSM) - preferred
CRT-Supply Chain Professional, Certified (CSCP) - preferred
